More that 1000 people on behalf of the 30 000 members of the GO5 Coalition for a fair farming model, Supply Management, walked in the streets of Montreal on October 23 to demonstrate their attachment to our local agriculture and to encourage the federal government to maintain its aggressive defence of our agriculture interests in the ongoing negotiations with the WTO.

Plusieurs personnalités ont pris part à la Marche de solidarité le 23 octobre dernier à Montréal.

Pierre Marc Johnson, avocat-conseil et ancien premier ministre du Québec est le conseiller spécial de GO5 Coalition pour un modèle agricole équitable, la gestion de l’offre.

President of the Union des producteurs agricoles, Mr. Laurent Pellerin presents the Declaration of Support of Supply Management, signed by the 1000 people participating at the Solidarity March and Rally in Montreal on October 23, on behalf of the some 30 000 members of the GO5 Coalition, claiming that the fedral government obtains protection for the poultry and dairy production during the WTO negociations. Le ministre québécois de l’Agriculture, M. Laurent Lessard, a pris part à la Marche et au Rassemblement de solidarité.

La Coalition GO5 peut compter sur l’appui du Regroupement des organisations paysannes et des agriculteurs de l’Afrique de l’Ouest. Son président d’honneur, Cheikh Mouhamady Cissokho, était à Montréal pour la marche.
