Juin 2004On June 7, 2004, in the midst of the federal election campaign, the Coalition organized a media tour involving a large delegation of partners, all members of the organization. The Coalition then launched an appeal to all Quebec parties and candidates to sign the Declaration of Support for a Fair Farming Model, in which they personally promised to guarantee the survival of supply management when the WTO negotiations were completed.

The tour, which began at the Centre du commerce mondial in Montreal, made a stop at Yamachiche and ended in Quebec City. In the capital, the Government of Quebec reiterated its support for supply management through its Minister of Agriculture, Fisheries and Food, Françoise Gauthier. From left to right, the chairman of the Fédération des producteurs de lait du Québec, Marcel Groleau, the President of the Syndicat des producteurs d'œufs d'incubation, Gyslain Loyer, the Coalition's advisor and former Premier of Québec, Pierre Marc Johnson, the president of the UPA, Laurent Pellerin, the chairman of the Fédération des producteurs de volailles du Québec, Yves Baril, and the chairman of the Fédération des producteurs d'œufs de consommation du Québec, Serge Lefebvre.
